Ukrainian Military Intelligence (Ukrainian Military Intelligence) claims to have set fire to the Russian missile ship "Serpukhov" at a Baltic Fleet base, thereby disabling the ship.
There are still no reports from the Russian side about the fire at "Serpukhov". This was specified by the Russian service of the BBC.
On Monday, the General Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense published on social networks a message about a fire on April 7 on the ship "Serpukhov", which is stationed at the base in Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad Region.
The publication does not explicitly state that the fire was the result of a GUR operation, but it ends with the words "Thunderbolts know no borders. To be continued."
At the same time, many Ukrainian publications, citing the same anonymous "own source in the security services", write that the fire was the result of an operation by Ukrainian intelligence.
The press releases and the GUR press release claim that the fire destroyed the ship's communication and automation equipment.
It will take a long time to repair the damage.
The small rocket ship "Serpukhov" is one of the newest ships in the Russian fleet.
It was launched in 2015
For the first few years it was part of the Black Sea Fleet before being transferred to the Baltic Sea.
The ship can carry up to eight cruise missiles.
