The lower house of the Romanian parliament approved a law that allows the transfer of the Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine, Reuters reports, as quoted by Focus.

A day earlier, the government of our northern neighbor approved the bill on the transfer of the American Patriot air defense system to Ukraine and presented it to the parliament for a final vote, the agency recalls.

Romania, which has been a member of NATO since 2004, has a common border of 650 kilometers with Ukraine. Fragments of Russian drones have repeatedly entered its territory, while Moscow has attacked Ukrainian ports located just across the Danube River border, the media added.
