Russia claims that it liberated two villages in the Kursk region.
The Ministry of Defense reported that the group of troops "North" has recaptured the villages of Uspenovka and Borki.
The agency says these gains are part of ongoing operations to repel Ukraine's attempts to invade Russian territory.
Officials also said significant losses had been inflicted on Ukrainian forces, including defeating several mechanized, tank and airborne brigades in the areas around Lyubimovka and Novoivanovka.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in total, during the military operations in Kursk, Ukrainian troops lost more than 13,800 soldiers, 115 tanks, 44 infantry fighting vehicles and 28 salvo fire systems, including seven HIMARS and six MLRS.
