Israeli army chief of staff described like "painful" yesterday's attack by "Hezbollah" against a military base south of Haifa, reports France Presse, quoted by BTA.
"We are at war, the attack on a training base on the home front is severe and the consequences are painful," said General Herzi Halevi during a visit to the base where at least four soldiers were killed.
The Israeli army confirmed that four soldiers were killed and seven wounded at a training camp of the Golani brigade. in Binyamina, south of Haifa. The rescue organization "United Hatzalah" reported that over 60 people were injured in the attack.
Earlier "Hezbollah" announced that its fighters had launched a "squadron of explosive-laden drones" along the camp, dedicating the attack to its leader Hassan Nasrallah, killed on September 27 in an Israeli strike near Beirut.
In a subsequent statement "Hezbollah" welcomes the "complicated operation" and explained that it carried out simultaneous missile attacks aimed at hijacking Israeli air defense systems, with the drones able to bypass the radars and reach their target.
Later today "Hezbollah" reported that it fired on Israeli troops trying to infiltrate southern Lebanon and launched rocket attacks on Israeli forces in another sector of the border.
