Kiev's forces are repelling Russian attempts to break through the Ukrainian lines in the Kursk region, Western Russia, for the fifth day now, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today, quoted by Reuters.
He wrote in "Telegram" that the Ukrainian troops are holding their own and in turn counterattacking.
Ukraine sent troops into the Russian region in August in its first major cross-border incursion since the start of the war, Reuters notes.
