The US election will not be historically significant for security changes in Europe. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Alexander Vulin, in an interview with TASS.

"Whoever wins in the US will follow roughly the same policies. Maybe with small differences. But the US always follows the same line and I don't expect any real changes," he said.

Western countries are not giving up on attempts to organize a coup in Serbia, the deputy prime minister continued.

„They constantly try to do this, not yesterday, not tomorrow, they do this all the time, they continue,” he noted.

"Fortunately, we have friends in the Russian security services. They told us in advance what was going to happen. We used this information and were one step ahead, which helped us to successfully deal with the terrifying attempt to start a civil war in Serbia or to change the government by force in the streets”, the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

„No one likes an independent free Serbia and the fact that our president is one of the last free leaders in Europe. But we Serbs love him. And because we love it, we will continue to fight to preserve our way of life and our government”, he concluded.

"Serbia is an open country and will remain visa-free for Russians,", Vulin continued. "We will not change our policy towards the Russians, we will not introduce visas or do anything like that. You are always welcome in Serbia, our people love Russia. We understand each other. If you have the opportunity to be in Belgrade, you will feel that they love Russia there," he emphasized.

„Most of the Russians who came to Serbia did so for economic reasons. Because they want to open a business, avoid sanctions and so on. That is their right. But among them there are people - this is by no means the majority - who tried to use Serbian hospitality for purposes unacceptable to us: to interfere in politics, taking advantage of Serbian hospitality to harm the Russian government and President Putin. We do not support this and do not allow it. Because Serbia is not just a friendly country, but a fraternal country with the Russians, and we don't want to participate in your internal affairs," Vulin stressed.

He said that the BRICS union will give Serbia access to the markets of Russia, China and India, and such a chance comes only once and "we must take advantage".

Vulin noted that for the BRICS countries “even Serbia's membership in the EU will not be a problem, and the European Union will categorically say that the country cannot have anything to do with BRICS, Russia, China, etc. "But we are an independent country and we will behave in a way that will benefit Serbia and its people," he stressed.

BRICS, Vulin continued, has a lot to offer and people in Serbia recognize and feel this, because the economy is very important.“ “On the other hand, we spent decades trying to become part of the European Union.

The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister noted that, in addition to the economic advantages, it is very important that “in BRICS, everyone considers Serbia a partner and no one tries to impose anything”. Vulin emphasized that it was a great honor for him to communicate with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “During our meeting, he never indicated what we should or shouldn't do, it was a conversation between partners,”, he noted."
