Six people died in an explosion of a LPG cylinder at a restaurant in the northwestern Czech town of Most, causing a fire in the building, emergency services reported, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
Eight people were injured in the explosion, which broke out late last night, and 30 people were evacuated from the restaurant and surrounding buildings, the Czech fire department said in Ex.
"According to initial data, according to an eyewitness account, a heating device fell and overturned, causing a fire," firefighters said.
The fire department added that it had rescued a seriously injured customer of the restaurant who was blocked in a toilet.
Czech Radio reported that at the time of the explosion in the establishment had about 20 visitors.
