Residents of the French overseas territory of Mayotte are threatened by a new storm, less than a month after a cyclone swept through the archipelago in the Indian Ocean, BNT reported.
A red code of danger has been issued due to the expected strong winds and heavy rains.
This means that people are prohibited from moving by land and sea, from going to the beaches, or from leaving their homes.
The airport is closed, and ferries have also been suspended.
The storm has already hit the northeastern coast of Madagascar.
