Proposal: Putin-Trump meeting in Serbia would end the war in Ukraine - 1

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia is interested in being a meeting place for Russian President Vladimir Putin and the new US President Donald Trump and that it can guarantee full security for both presidents, TANJUG reported.

Vucic pointed out yesterday evening to the Serbian TV “Pink“ that Serbia is formally outside the military blocs, unlike other countries that offer to host such a meeting, and is essentially a sovereign and independent country, fully ready to guarantee full security for both presidents.

“At the same time, Serbia is the country where President Trump had the highest support in all of Europe. There is no country that can compare to Serbia in terms of the level of support for President Trump. And on the other hand, this is a country where President Putin is still very, very popular. So I think this is the point on planet Earth that would be most suitable for both of them," Vucic said.

He added that he would certainly discuss the sanctions against the Serbian oil company “NIS“ imposed by the US with people from the Trump administration, as well as other topics.

Vucic stressed that Trump's political messages and the changes that come with him are “incredible“.

“He did not decide to spend four years sitting somewhere, but rather decided to change things in the world, to change things primarily for the benefit of America,“ Vucic told television.
