Hours before the three-month mark since the tragedy in Novi Sad, which shook Serbian society and caused the resignation of the government, protesting students from the faculties in Belgrade embraced their colleagues in the northern Serbian city, BTA reported.
Posts on social networks made it clear that their meeting took place on the Varadin Bridge in Novi Sad.
The students covered the distance from the Serbian capital to the administrative center of the autonomous region of Vojvodina, located in the northern part of the Balkan country, in two days, traveling on foot, by train or on bicycles along a pre-determined route guarded by police.
Tomorrow, the students will block the three the Danube Bridge in Novi Sad to mark three months since November 1, when 15 people died and two seriously injured are still in hospital after the concrete canopy of the railway station collapsed, which was being renovated over three years with the participation of Chinese companies.
