Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down 37 of the drones with which Russia attacked Ukrainian territory last night, Ukrinform reported, citing the Ukrainian Air Force, quoted by BTA.
Another 28 Russian drones did not reach their target, the agency specified.
As of 8:00 p.m. Ukrainian time last night (also Bulgarian), Russia has aimed 65 drones at Ukraine - mainly the “Shahed“ models and others sent from various locations, including the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk and Bryansk, Ukrinform reports.
The Ukrainian army repelled the attacks with the help of missile units, electronic warfare units and mobile fire systems, the Ukrainian Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine reported.
As of 9:00 this morning, Ukrainian troops had intercepted and destroyed 37 drones over the Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions. Damage was caused in the Sumy and Cherkasy regions.
