Four people were killed and at least 20 were injured in a Russian airstrike in the Ukrainian city of Izyum, located in the northeastern Kharkiv region. The attack caused significant damage to residential and administrative buildings, regional governor Oleg Sinegubov said, quoted by „Reuters“ and BTA.
According to Sinegubov, Russian forces used a ballistic missile to strike a central area of the city. Rescue teams continue search operations, with at least one person buried under the rubble.
Among the affected buildings is a five-story apartment building, as well as several administrative buildings that were partially destroyed.
The Kharkiv region, which borders Russia, is often the target of air attacks, recalls „Reuters“.
