A US Navy plane crashed off the coast of San Diego today, but the two crew members were rescued and are safe, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing a senior US official.
The source specified that the A-18G Growler, used for electronic warfare, was based in Washington state.
The cause of the crash is currently unclear, but the Coast Guard rescued both pilots from the two-seater plane.
The issue of US military aviation safety has been in the spotlight since last month a "Black Hawk" helicopter (Black Hawk) of the army collided with a passenger plane in Washington, killing a total of 67 people.
