American billionaire Elon Musk is so dedicated to his work as head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that he sleeps in his White House office, Fox Business reports.

"Musk plans to spend four months at the helm of DOGE, intends to cut the budget by $2 trillion, which will reduce inflation to 2%. Musk said he was working so hard on DOGE that he slept in his office at the White House," the TV channel reported.

The TV channel did not specify exactly where Musk's office was located - directly in the White House under the same roof as US President Donald Trump or in neighboring administrative buildings.

Musk's habit of sleeping at work has been known for a long time. During the launch of new Tesla models in 2016 and 2018, he slept on the factory floor. In 2020, he announced on Twitter that he would sell all his “physical assets“ and did not intend to own any real estate - at that time it was reported that he owned seven houses in California. Later it became known that Musk had left only a small two-bedroom house in Texas.

In 2021 the billionaire said he lives on a ranch, also in Texas - he rented a three-bedroom house from his company SpaceX for $ 50,000. In 2024, it was reported that Musk wants to build a mansion for his children, for which he allegedly bought real estate for $ 35 million, but the billionaire denied this information. There were also rumors that Musk is building an entire city for his employees.
