US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg begins a European tour today, which will last until February 22 and includes Germany, Belgium and Ukraine. The purpose of the tour is to support President Donald Trump's vision of securing peace through force in Ukraine, as well as American national security interests, the US State Department announced on its website, BTA reports.
The special presidential envoy will participate in the Munich Security Conference and visit NATO and European Union headquarters in Brussels, where he will meet with allies and partners from across Europe who are ready to work with the United States to end Russia's war against Ukraine and restore stability in Europe.
In Ukraine, Kellogg will meet with government officials and individuals who are courageously resisting the nearly three-year-old war.
President Trump has made it clear that the fighting must stop and that the United States is ready to support a lasting solution. The special envoy is committed to carrying out the difficult diplomacy that will be necessary to achieve the President's goal, the State Department notes.
