Lavrov: The world is in a stupor after the phone call between Putin and Trump - 1

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed surprise at the “stupor“ the world has fallen into after the phone call between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, describing it as something unusual, Focus reports.

Lavrov said he was “shocked“ by the fact that the whole world perceives this conversation and the reports about it as exceptional events. He emphasized that the policy of President Joe Biden's administration has led to this state.

“I was shocked by the fact that the whole world has fallen into a kind of stupor and views the phone call as something unusual. This is the result of the actions of the Biden administration officials, led by their president,” Lavrov said at a press conference after talks with his Tajik counterpart Sirodzhidin Muhriddin in Moscow.

The Russian foreign minister also criticized the US’s European allies for abandoning diplomatic methods and switching to “the language of threats, sanctions and arming the Nazi regime in Kiev.” According to him, this includes sending specialists to guide long-range missiles used to strike Russian territory.

“You see what victims the atrocities committed by the Ukrainian Nazis are causing. We do not hear condemnation in the West,” Lavrov added, emphasizing that the West has begun to perceive as normal the so-called communication with Russia in the context of the Ukrainian crisis and the actions of the regime in Kiev.
