At least 31 people have died in Bolivia after a bus plunged into an 800-meter ravine in the Potosi department, the La Razon newspaper reported.
"Preliminary data indicate that 31 people have died. Not all the bodies have been recovered yet, the work is ongoing and an investigation is underway," the newspaper quoted police spokesman Limber Chok as saying.
15 people were taken to hospitals with injuries of varying severity. The reasons why the bus, traveling from the city of Potosi to Oruro, fell into the ravine have not yet been established.
