Kremlin confirms: There may or may not be a meeting - 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump may meet this month, although preparing for a meeting between them will take time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.

“[At the end of February] there may or may not be [a meeting]“, Peskov said in response to a journalistic question.

Peskov noted that the talks between Russia and the United States, which took place yesterday in Riyadh, are an “important step“ towards reaching an agreement on the war in Ukraine. However, he added that relations between the two world superpowers will first have to be revived before they can be restored.

"The appropriate political will was shown on both sides - in this case, I mean Russia and the United States", the Kremlin spokesman added, quoted by TASS.

"Yesterday's talks were devoted to a plan for restoring Russian-American relations. To creating conditions for their restoration", Peskov added.
