US President Donald Trump has urged billionaire Elon Musk to be "more aggressive" in his efforts to shrink the government despite massive layoffs and deep cuts to defense spending, Reuters reported.
"Elon is doing a great job, but I wish he would be more aggressive. Remember, we have a country to save, but we also have to make it greater than ever. Let's Make America Great Again!", Trump wrote in all caps on his social platform "Truth Social" (Truth Social).
The Ministry of Government Efficiency, which Musk has led, wants to close thousands of offices and lay off tens of thousands of civil servants - from scientists to janitors, focusing mostly on those on probation.
