A prosecutor has brought charges of a capital crime against a 14-year-old Bulgarian who was arrested on Friday, February 28, in the afternoon in the center of Thessaloniki, reports Ekathimerini, quoted by FOCUS and dariknews.bg.
The minor will be tried for possession of explosives during a public gathering, during a mass rally to mark two years since the deadliest train crash in Greece. He has been handed over to an investigator to give evidence.
The teenager, who is Bulgarian, was identified by police after clashes between hooded men and police following the rally.
His mother has also been charged with neglect of a minor. She has been sent to a speedy trial.
Yesterday, thousands of people joined strikes across the country to mark the second anniversary of the fatal train crash that killed 57 people. Protests were held in 200 cities.
