Denmark: The US has been misled into thinking Zelensky is a bad guy. Let's stop tweeting and send weapons to Ukraine imm - 1

The chairman of the defense committee of the Danish parliament, Rasmus Jarlov, in Folketing, expressed his point of view on what comes next and how Ukraine and Europe can return to negotiations with the US, Sky News reports, quoted by FOKUS.

''I am almost sure that President Zelensky would be ready to run naked through New York if that is required of him in order to get security, security guarantees and save his country.

It cannot be about emotions and personal ego and who is humble enough and who has said thank you enough. It should be about what is right and fair and what is in the interests of the Western world.

According to him, the US administration "has been misled by a false narrative that Zelensky is a bad guy who is trying to exploit the US, and that Europe is the bad guys … and they want to show that they are fed up with this".

Yarlov warned that any peace agreement without security guarantees for Ukraine "is not even worth the paper it is written on", while Russian leaders regularly "break their promises, break their treaties, break agreements".

''It seems that Russia already thinks it is at war with the West. And if it thinks that way, then it will attack again. And they will attack the Baltic states, probably as a first target.''

''We simply cannot have a situation where it is not made crystal clear to the Russians that if they do not stop their war, they will be stopped by force'', he stressed.

Yarlov commented that some European countries are not paying enough for their defense costs and "not fulfilling their role".

''There is no comparison between the economies of Europe and Russia. That's like 15 times the number.''

According to him, the end of this war has two outcomes and Europe is already realizing it:

''If Europe stands up and helps Ukraine, there will be only one possible outcome and that will be a Ukrainian victory.

But if we hesitate, as we have been doing so far, then the Americans will stop helping because they think it's too expensive, and then Ukraine will lose and that will be a very, very bad outcome for Europe.

European leaders need to stop talking, they need to stop tweeting and they need to start paying for their defense and send weapons to Ukraine right away''.
