Russian air defenses have repelled an attack by a Ukrainian drone on the KINEF plant in the Kirishsky district of the Leningrad region, the local governor said.

At 5:35 Moscow time, the airport in St. Petersburg stopped accepting and sending planes. At 6:15, it resumed operations, Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako reported on Telegram.

One flight was diverted to a backup airport. Korenyako added that the airport in Yaroslavl also stopped operations at 5:35. According to him, the restrictions were introduced to ensure flight safety.

“Aircraft crews, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety – this is a top priority“, Korenyako wrote.

Earlier, a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that at 03:13 Moscow time, the work of the airports in Grozny and Vladikavkaz was restricted to ensure the safety of aircraft. Airports are not accepting or sending aircraft.

Overnight, air defense systems destroyed and intercepted 31 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions - 26 of them over the territory of Krasnodar Territory, 3 over the territory of Bryansk Region and one each over the territories of Leningrad and Yaroslavl Regions,“ the Russian military ministry reported.

The governor of Bryansk Region Alexander Bogomaz noted on his Telegram channel that there were no casualties or damage in the region after the attack.
