A police cordon separated a protest and a counter-protest of students in Belgrade, BTA reported.
On one side, they chanted "You are loyal to Vucic!", and on the other, "Kosovo is Serbia!", but no physical clash occurred.
The verbal attacks occurred late this evening, when the protesting students came to the tent camp of the counter-protesters, located in front of the Presidency building in Pioneer Park in the Serbian capital.
The counter-protesting students are demanding the restoration of the educational process, and the protesting students are not giving up on the blockade of faculties, which arose after the tragedy in Novi Sad, where on November 1 last year 15 people died when the concrete canopy of the railway station collapsed and became a major challenge for President Aleksandar Vučić.
The counter-protesting students settled in the Pioneer Park near the Presidency building last night, hours before the second general strike in Serbia was set to begin.
The counter-protesting students want classes at the faculties to start by March 10 or at the latest by March 17.
The students on the blockade have been protesting for four months and are demanding the publication of the full documentation on the reconstruction of the Novi Sad railway station, the dismissal of charges against those arrested during previous protests over the Novi Sad tragedy, criminal charges against all attackers of protesting students, teachers and citizens, and a 20 percent increase in the higher education budget.
Yesterday, the National Assembly voted on the requested changes to the Law on Higher Education, and the Serbian President signed a decree promulgating them.
