US President's special envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff, who is also involved in the negotiations with Ukraine, may meet with Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday, March 13, Ukrinform reported, citing a post by the Washington-based news site "Axios" correspondent Barak Ravid on the "Ex" platform, BTA reported.
Ukrinform cited the journalist's preliminary travel schedule for Steve Witkoff this week: "Tuesday: Meeting with UAE Head of State Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. Wednesday: Talks on the Gaza Strip hostages in Doha and a meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar. Thursday: Possible meeting with Putin in Moscow.
However, according to the Axios correspondent, changes in the schedule may still occur. Earlier, Bloomberg journalist Annemarie Hordern reported in Ax about alleged plans for Witkoff to travel to Moscow.
"President Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff plans to visit Moscow to meet with President Putin," she wrote, citing informed sources. The White House and the State Department have not yet confirmed this information, Ukrinform notes. The agency notes that the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet today for talks in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
