„Putin is trying to return to the „Brezhnev” doctrine. Historically, the US abandoned the „Truman“ doctrine after World War II, when it took over the functions of defenders of democracy for peoples around the world. The „Brezhnev” doctrine is that when there is a danger to its regime in one country from the then socialist bloc, all the others can intervene. Now we have the doctrine of limited sovereignty – Putin believes it is his right to determine who will rule whom in other countries. This is a dangerous precedent. The US and Russia are not the only ones who have a say in the world order. The Great Powers plus, Australia, Canada, South Korea - this is the alternative bloc that can preserve the principles of democracy, said journalist Petko Georgiev on the program "Offensive" in connection with Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal that Ukraine be governed by the UN due to the expiration of Volodymyr Zelensky's mandate.
“Trump cannot negotiate a cessation of hostilities with Putin alone. Trump must negotiate it with Ukraine and Europe and only then with Putin,” Georgiev added.
”I do not see any serious responsibility being sought in the current situation. Even if someone is designated as a scapegoat, it will be purely formal for public opinion. There is no doubt that this is a matter of extreme incompetence. The fact that one of the participants in this chat was in Moscow at that moment means that the chat is 100% compromised. This means that the Russians and Iran, and from there the Houthis, knew that a strike was coming on them. Most likely, the Americans were hitting empty buildings. No one will be held responsible, because “Trumpism” is on the crest of the wave. We have to live with the understanding that besides the journalist, there were also agents of other countries,” the journalist commented.
The dependence of the European and American economies is very high. In my eyes, the US has lost the Cold War in the last two months. They are now enemies with everyone who was their allies during the Cold War. Nobody has any interest in deepening this rift, but they realize that the US cannot be relied on as an ally in this period”,
“I don't think the Putinist wing in Bulgaria is growing. There is high support for the European Union”, he concluded.
