A 49-year-old Russian soldier preparing a terrorist act against a dormitory of cadets from military universities in the Moscow region was detained by the Russian security services /FSB/ The soldier was a member of a terrorist organization banned in the country, the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia reported.
He was questioned about the circumstances of the planned terrorist act. The soldier was recruited by Ukrainian special services, the FSB added. The man was detained while removing components for the manufacture of an explosive device from a cache.
It was established that he had correspondence with a Ukrainian adviser, with whom they discussed the planned crime. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Art. 30 and Part 1 of Art. 205 (preparation for a terrorist act) and Art. 222.1 (illegal storage of explosive substances or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
