At least 44 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip today, the local Civil Defense reported, quoted by Agence France-Presse and BTA.
Nearly half of the victims - 21, were in the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern part of the Palestinian territory.
Previous data from health authorities in Gaza, controlled by the Islamist movement "Hamas", were for 24 killed.
The Israeli army, meanwhile, announced this evening that a dozen rockets were fired from the strip at Israel within a few minutes. Most of them were successfully intercepted, the statement said.
Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of the Moroccan capital Rabat to condemn the "massacre and displacement" of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
The largest demonstration of its kind in Morocco was organized by an Islamist coalition, AFP noted.
Some of the crowd called on the North African country to denounce the 2020 agreement to normalize relations with Israel.
