Nine people were killed in an attack on a drug treatment clinic in Mexico, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
The attack took place early yesterday morning in the city of Culiacan - the capital of the northwestern state of Sinaloa.
Hundreds of people were killed in the war between two factions of the "Sinaloa" cartel in September. Since then, seven attacks on drug treatment clinics have been carried out in the state of the same name, AFP notes.
The toll of the feud in January was 750 killed and 900 missing. The situation has calmed down somewhat after the massive deployment of security forces in the state.
The cartel was founded by Joaquín Guzmán, nicknamed El Chapo, who is serving a life sentence in the United States, and Ismael Zambada, nicknamed El Mayo, who was arrested in July in the neighboring country. The latter's supporters accuse the former's sons of being involved in his extradition to the US authorities, according to Agence France-Presse.
