Drone attack in Odessa injures three, causes serious damage  - 1

Three people were injured as a result of the nighttime drone attack in Odessa, the State Service of Ukraine reported via the Telegram app, BTA reports.

According to local authorities, the attack caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings and warehouses. All relevant services are actively working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Odessa and its region are home to a significant Bulgarian diaspora. According to the last official census in Ukraine in 2001, Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000, making them the third largest ethnic group in the region.

Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa alone. The largest concentration of Bulgarians is in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.

The attack has caused alarm among the local Bulgarian community, which is monitoring the escalating danger in the region with concern.
