Russia carried out a massive drone attack on the city of Dnipro (Dnipro in Ukrainian) in southeastern Ukraine tonight.
As a result of the attack, two victims have been identified so far, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
The head of the military administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Sergiy Lysak, wrote on the "Telegram" application that a girl and an elderly woman were killed.
According to the information received so far, at least 16 people were injured, Lysak added.
Among the injured are three children, the youngest of whom is nine months old, and the others are 6 and 11 years old, respectively. Five people were hospitalized.
Lysak added that the strikes by Russian drones had caused several fires, damaging residential buildings and educational institutions.
The mayor of the city of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, wrote in his turn on Telegram that one of the strikes had been carried out a hundred meters from the municipality building.
The public television channel "Suspilne" broadcast footage of huge flames that firefighters were trying to extinguish, Reuters reports.
