Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that all state institutions are on alert in connection with the earthquakes in Istanbul and there is no problematic situation so far, Turkish private television CNN-Turk reported, BTA reports.
"We are following the process very closely. So far, there is no problematic situation", the president commented.
According to him, all state institutions, especially the Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) and the Ministry of Health, are on alert. He added that field survey activities continue.
"May God protect our country and people from all disasters, catastrophes, emergencies and troubles", wished Erdogan.
