Russia is ready to conclude an agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, but there are some points in the deal that require approval, and Moscow is working on it, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
“President Trump's statement mentions a deal and we are ready to conclude an agreement, but there are some individual points, elements of this deal that require fine-tuning, and we are engaged in this process“, he said in an interview with the American television company CBS, part of which was published on Thursday. The full interview will be broadcast on Sunday.
Earlier, Trump expressed hope that an agreement to resolve the situation in Ukraine would be reached this week. On Wednesday, the American leader said that he had set his own deadlines for participating in negotiations for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, but did not disclose them.
