At the same time, the source expresses disappointment with the peace plan of US President Donald Trump, noting that the American leader does not put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and does not impose sanctions against Russia.
The Ukrainian diplomat says that the conditions outlined by the US president are unacceptable to Kiev. "What is written on paper and what they are signaling to us during the negotiations is unacceptable", he said.
Earlier, The New York Times wrote that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio refused to travel to the UK to facilitate peace talks in Ukraine precisely because of Volodymyr Zelensky's statement that he rejected the possibility of recognizing Crimea as Russian, which, according to media reports, is part of the US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. Previously, Trump and Rubio said that if one of the parties does not make concessions, Washington may abandon its role as a mediator.
In this regard, former national security adviser to US President Donald Trump John Bolton warned that Kiev risks being left without military support from Washington, and European countries will not be able to replace it. He advised taking the White House's threat to withdraw from the negotiation process seriously.
