North Korean servicemen participated in the operation to liberate the Kursk region in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and Russia, signed in June 2024.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in a comment to kp.ru.
„Korean servicemen took part in the operation to liberate the Kursk border in accordance with Article 4 of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signed in June 2024. The solidarity shown by our Korean friends is a manifestation of the high, almost allied level of our relations. We are confident that our relations will continue to strengthen and develop,“ the diplomat noted.
The massive attack of the Ukrainian armed forces against the Kursk region began on August 6, 2024.
