Specialists from insurance companies have analyzed traffic road accidents to find out at what age drivers are most at risk of accidents. To do this, they compared data on the number of traffic accidents among men and women aged 18 to 66+ for the first half of 2023 and 2024.
It turned out that the most frequent participants in road accidents are drivers aged 18 to 24 years. Older drivers are slightly less likely to crash – from 25 to 30 years. People aged 51 and over appear to be the most careful and are the least likely to get into traffic accidents.
A comparison of the accident rates of male and female drivers shows that the latter are, in general, more disciplined on the road, showing greater caution behind the wheel. The percentage of accidents for female motorists during the considered periods is almost two-thirds lower than the same indicator for men.
