More than three million Mercedes-Benz cars produced will receive a voice assistant with artificial intelligence. The built-in MBUX voice assistant will learn to address queries to ChatGPT and the Microsoft Bing search engine. This was reported by the company's press service.
The Mercedes-Benz voice assistant has received ChatGPT support. Thanks to the innovation of the MBUX Voice Assistant, it will be able to answer various questions, take into account the context and provide extended information if necessary. The update is available for download from today and three million cars will receive it.
It is also interesting that the history of requests will be stored in the system for one hour, so that the AI will be able to take into account the context of the conversation and refer to earlier data if necessary.
For example, after the question "How many awards has this or that artist received?" you can immediately ask "What year was the first one?", and the AI will give an accurate answer. The MBUX Voice Assistant will retain its previous functionality with the ability to receive weather information, stock quotes, news and match results. The requests will be stored in the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud, but in an impersonal form and without any connection to the driver.
Mercedes-Benz has also certified a new version of Drive Pilot in Germany. From now on, it can drive a car at speeds of up to 95 km/h instead of 65, and at the beginning of 2025 it will already begin to be equipped in customer cars. Those who use the autopilot of the previous generation will be able to upgrade the system for free.
