Toyota dominates the ranking of the best-selling cars in 2024. The data is not yet final and is up to November 2023. The Japanese brand is followed by Volkswagen, with sales data from the analytical agency Focus2Move.
Toyota boasts 8.33 million cars sold. Despite a 0.2% year-on-year decline, the giant confidently maintains its global leadership. Volkswagen takes second place with 4.44 million units sold, slightly increasing its sales compared to the previous year (+0.4%).
BYD is in third place with 3.39 million cars sold. At the same time, the Chinese manufacturer showed a growth of 42.1%, which is actually the best indicator among the 10 most popular car brands in the world.
It should be noted that in 2019 BYD ranked only 49th in the world ranking. It is also worth adding that the Bavarians from BMW do not fall into the TOP-10 of the best-selling cars in the world at all. Here is what the TOP-10 best-selling cars of last year look like.
