In Laos, a Mitsubishi Galant from the ninth generation of the model has received a new life, but thanks to a strange facelift carried out by enthusiasts. The once popular sedan, whose production ended in 2012, now has a modern look thanks to design adaptations from the Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner.
For example, the front of the Galant is equipped with Dynamic Shield elements characteristic of the Pajero Sport 2015. This includes the hood, grille, headlights and chrome accents, harmoniously integrated into the old body. The taillights are borrowed from the Toyota Fortuner, adapting the trunk and rear fenders for their size and installation.
The interior gets a modern touch in the form of a display on the center console, and the technical part remains unchanged: the sedan is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Created by Keng Car-Modify, this unique Galant looks so organic that it could be mistaken for an official prototype. The car is being sold for $5,800, making it an attractive find for fans of the model.
