In 2024, the Dacia Sandero hatchback once again became the best-selling car in Europe. A total of 309,392 cars were sold of this model, which is 14.5% more than the previous year. The result underlines the popularity of Sandero as an affordable and practical hatchback with an internal combustion engine.

Sandero has been the best-selling car among private buyers in Europe since 2017. In 2024, Dacia sold 676,340 cars, which is almost 4% of the total volume of passenger car sales on the European market. Since its launch in 2004, the brand has sold more than 9 million cars, which proves its popularity.

In addition to the Sandero, other Dacia models also showed significant sales growth. For example, the Duster, including the new generation, sold 215,024 units - this is 12.3% more than in 2023. The seven-seater Jogger station wagon also gained ground, with 96,440 units sold, which is 2.4% more than in the previous year.

Despite the success of the larger models, the Dacia Spring electric car suffered a drop in sales by as much as 63% compared to 2023. According to company representatives, this is due to the reduction in state subsidies for the purchase of electric cars. However, after the appearance of the restyled version, demand for the Spring began to gradually recover.

In addition to Europe, Dacia sales in the UK increased by 10% thanks to the popularity of hybrid versions of the Duster and Jogger models, which have become a preferred choice among buyers in the UK. In the future, Sandero is also expected to receive a hybrid version, probably the same as the Jogger.

However, the main factors that guarantee the popularity of Sandero are its affordable price, practical design and internal combustion engine. Over the years, the model has gained the trust of buyers due to its low maintenance costs, but overall this model is indicative of the fact that Europeans prefer only cars with internal combustion engines.
