The Lexus RC coupe will be discontinued. The last cars will roll off the assembly line in Japan by November this year. This was announced on the official website of the automaker.
The Lexus RC sports car is the brightest model in the brand's modern range. The coupe has been produced since 2014 and its life cycle has ended. But a new Lexus RC is not planned.
The reason is that the demand for coupes in the modern automotive market is not high. A total of about 90,000 of these cars were produced. The final version of the Lexus RC Final Edition coupe will be released as a farewell.
A total of 400 such cars will be assembled: 200 standard coupes (power 241-311 hp) and another 200 supercharged Lexus RC F with a 5.0-liter V-shaped eight-cylinder engine with a power of 473 horsepower.
The new Lexus RC Final Edition is distinguished by a special color, 19-inch high-speed forged wheels and black mirrors. The RC F variant has carbon fiber bodywork, a rear wing, and a carbon fiber roof.
The interior of the Lexus RC Final Edition is decorated with red and black leather, as well as carbon and Alcantara. The RC F has distinctly sporty seats. In addition, Final Edition logos are also prominently displayed inside.
