The National Association of Tobacco Producers - 2010 (NAT-2010) insists on a second extension, according to the Tobacco Law, tobacco and related products (ZTTSTI), with one more month to the deadline for the entry of tobacco producers in the register for 2024, namely until May 31, specifies BTA. This became known from a letter sent to the Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev and to the media.
The arguments of the request are the same as in the previous letter – a large number of potential tobacco producers still encounter difficulties in obtaining the necessary set of documents needed for registration (legal basis for the agricultural land intended for planting tobacco, a preliminary contract with a commercial operator for the production and sale of tobacco raw materials).
The extension will allow all farmers intending to grow tobacco to do so legally.
NAT-2010 sent another letter to Minister Vatev, in which he insists on the convening of an Advisory Council on Tobacco in the period from May 13 to 17. The main arguments for the request are mutual work on current and future development of the "Tobacco" sector. in Bulgaria – harvests, regulations, financial interventions for the industry.
