ERM West plans to install 13,800 electricity meters with remote reading this year in Troyan. 7,500 have been installed so far. The remaining 6,300 electricity meters will be installed by the end of July. This is an investment worth over BGN 1.8 million.
ERM Zapad strictly follows a standard procedure when installing the new devices. For each dismantled electricity meter, a finding protocol is drawn up, in which its readings are recorded, after which they are reflected in the company's customer information system. The installation of the new devices is accompanied by a short-term disconnection of the power supply to the customers.
„This year ERM West plans to install over 150,000 electricity meters with remote reading on the territory of Western Bulgaria, in which more than BGN 20 million will be invested. Smart devices are currently being installed in the central part of Sofia, in individual municipalities of the Montana region. In the summer, a similar project will be implemented in the municipality of Elin Pelin”, said Iliyan Mutafchiev, Director of Measurement and Data Management at ERM West.
Electricity meters with remote reading allow for automated remote reading of consumed electricity, exclude the possibility of subjective errors, enable rapid change of tariff models and ensure the availability of a detailed report on the energy used by customers. They allow to monitor the occupied capacity on the network in real time and to react immediately to anomalies, which ensures a better power supply to users.
