As earlier informed the representative of the cabinet of ministers in the Rada Taras Melnichuk, the government approved the draft law on changes to the tax code. According to him, it is planned to increase the military tax for individuals from 1.5% to 5%, its introduction for legal entities in the amount of 1%, as well as the introduction of a military tax for the purchase of a car, the sale of jewelry, real estate and for mobile communication services. If the document is approved, additional funds in the amount of up to 12.1 billion USD can be allocated for the needs of the Ukrainian army, a deputy from the pro-presidential party "Servant of the People" announced. For 2024, Ukraine has a planned budget deficit of USD 43.9 billion. Authorities expect to cover most of it with Western aid. The head of the country's Ministry of Finance stated that the budget needs USD 3 billion in revenue from partners every month.
