Croatia has officially notified the European Commission (EC), as well as Hungary and Slovakia, of its willingness to supply both countries with oil through the Adriatic pipeline JANAF. This was announced by the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He specified that he had sent the relevant letters to the President of the EC Ursula von der Leyen, the heads of government of Hungary and Slovakia Viktor Orbán and Robert Fico.
„The operator of the Adriatic oil pipeline (JANAF) as a company is ready to negotiate with [Hungarian energy concern] MOL on the issues of logistics and ensuring energy security in the changed conditions”, Jutarnji list quoted the Croatian prime minister as saying.
