Aegean Airlines has announced the indefinite cancellation of all flights to and from Israel because of the emergency in the Middle East. This was reported by the news portal newsbomb.gr.

Following the cancellation of flights to Beirut, Aegean Airlines announced it was “suspending all air traffic with Israel until further notice”. in relation to the recent disturbing events in the Middle East during hostilities between Israeli forces and the Hamas movement.

According to the airline's official website, all flights from Tel Aviv to Athens and back have been canceled for at least the next three days.

KLM has decided to suspend all flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 26, news portal nu.nl reported.

The airline announced in May that it was canceling flights to and from Tel Aviv in July and August due to safety concerns. “Now this period has been extended until October 26”, notes the online edition.

In addition to Israel, KLM does not yet fly over Iran and Iraq, company officials said.

Earlier, the Italian Foreign Ministry advised its citizens to postpone travel to Israel as well as Lebanon. ITA Airways does not operate flights to Beirut.

India's largest airline Air India has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until August 8 - about security threats, according to the operator's official website.

"Due to the current situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended scheduled flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect "effective until August 8, 2024 inclusive”, the statement said.
