The head of the US Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk topped the list of super-billionaires, which includes only 24 people from all over the world. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing data from the analytical company Altrata.
According to her, today we can talk about the emergence of a new category of ultra-rich people - super-billionaires, each of whom is estimated at at least 50 billion USD. Altrata has included 24 people from all over the world in this list.
The head of SpaceX, Tesla and X Elon Musk is in first place in the ranking with a fortune estimated at 419.4 billion USD. He is followed by the founder of the online retailer Amazon Jeff Bezos (263.8 billion USD), the owner of the luxury giant LVMH Bernard Arnault (238.9 billion USD), the head of the technology company Oracle Larry Ellison (237 billion USD) and the CEO of Meta Corporation (recognized as an extremist in Russia) Mark Zuckerberg (220.8 billion USD).
In total, the 24 richest people in the world own 3.3 trillion USD, which is comparable to the nominal GDP of France, Altrata calculated. The wealth of 16 people on the list exceeds 100 billion USD. Moreover, if in the 19th and early 20th centuries the richest people were industrialists, then most of today's super-billionaires earned their capital working in the technology sector.
