Will we see a protest by the Ministry of Interior officials again? - 1

New cabinet, old caretaker prime minister – are there any dissatisfied... The question is rather rhetorical, but also relevant. Dimitar Glavchev complied with the president's insistence to replace Kalin Stoyanov. And so the new person will be Atanas Ilkov.

And will he be referred to as "Peevski's man"… Will he also get an offer to lead the list… The most interesting thing will be whether the rank and file uniforms will come out in his support. Isn't he also a person from the system, isn't he one of them. He also “suffered” until recently from a lack of “good material and technical working conditions” like everyone else. We will not talk about clothing and remuneration, although the unions want to talk.

Good Glavchev
After reading the names of the people in his new office “Glavchev” 2, he told President Radev that he was aware of them in advance, because they were agreed upon…

As a sign of the “good tone” the head of state Rumen Radev announced that he will issue the decree for a second official cabinet with Glavchev at the head.

Somehow it seems that the absence of Kalin Stoyanov – in contrast to the firm position of Gorica Kožareva, who was 100% sure that only Kalin Stoyanov can and has the qualities to be interior minister, makes the composition of the new cabinet more acceptable. Somehow, it is as if now the suspicions about addictions, which arose in the president and led to his refusal to approve the government of Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva because of the then interior minister Kalin Stoyanov, have been dispelled.
Gorica Kozhareva, if we look at Glavchev's cases, should also have agreed on the names with the president before announcing them publicly. Then apparently the position was a bit like “loving stubbornly”. Goritza Kozhareva “loves stubbornly” Kalin Stoyanov, and the head of state Rumen Radev “stubbornly fell out of love with him”. And after all this “coordinating” before the line-up announcement

then hit him at a dramatic theater – “I will not sign the decree”. It was also out of spite.

Anatas Ilkov – director of the "National Police" and now a minister. Borisov said, Glavchev fulfilled – without Kalin Stoyanov. Thus, the caretaker prime minister formally complied with the condition of the president and most political forces, in order to remove "political tension". Borisov will not be given up, Glavchev knows that. Whether with Kalin Stoyanov or without him, there will be elections. To please Borisov, of course, and only Delyan Peevski and his DPS remained behind Stoyanov – whatever it is. It will be interesting to see if Ilkov will continue Stoyanov's work – refers to “teasing“ with the DPS-Dogan camp. This will be indicative of whether he will be loyal to the system and principled, or whether he will be “Kalin Stoyanov” 2. So Dimitar Glavchev remained subordinate to Borisov, but he also became comfortable with Radev.

The dilemma before Ilkov
The question is whether Ilkov's work will reflect what is happening in the DPS, or what is happening in the DPS will reflect on his work. Elections are coming, the Ministry of the Interior has a big role in them, and the services and the prosecutor's office are already interfering in the battle for the DPS – we saw that. Glavchev boasts of “good work“ on his first office. And how successful will his second cabinet be, in which there are two more new ministers - Ivan Kondov of foreign affairs and Krasimira Stoyanova of transport and communications.
The Ministry of the Interior is not just a ministry, and the battle in the DPS is not over. So the fate of the 51st parliament will be more than interesting.
