An expanded session of the National Council of the "Bulgarian Social Democracy – Euroleft" (BSD-E) party was held on Saturday.
During the session, the decision to form a government by a coalition of "BSP - United Left", GERB, ITN with the support of APS-DPS was discussed. With a full majority, the National Council of BSD-E approved the coalition's decision, the "BSP - United Left" press center reported.
The position was stated that at this important historical moment the most important thing remains – overcoming the political crisis, forming a balanced budget and gradually raising the living standards of the people.
The National Council of BSD-E reaffirmed its support for Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone and for accelerating the country's economic growth.
The Chairman of the coalition "BSP - United Left" Atanas Zafirov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, took part in the work of the National Council.
Atanas Zafirov expressed gratitude to the National Council and the Chairman of BSD-E - Prof. Alexander Tomov for their consistent position in support of the unity of the left forces and the formation of a broad coalition government.
