Students from nine municipalities in the Plovdiv region will go on vacation on February 6 and 7. This was announced by the Regional Department of Education, dariknews.bg reported.
With their orders, the mayors of the municipalities of Maritsa, Hisarya, Stamboliyski, Plovdiv, Karlovo, Kaloyanovo, Asenovgrad, Parvomay and Sopot declared the two days non-school days.
In their reasons, they indicated that they aim to reduce the incidence of flu and acute respiratory diseases in schools. In the remaining nine municipalities in the region, the educational process will be face-to-face. Students from the region switched to distance learning from January 29 to February 4. Today is their mid-term vacation.
According to data from the Regional Health Inspectorate, the incidence in the district is decreasing, as of February 4 it is 37 per 10,000 inhabitants, the director of the inspectorate, Dr. Argir Argirov, told BTA. According to him, the flu epidemic in the district is eliminated from today, as well as all the measures included in the order for its declaration.
In the age group of students from 5 to 14 years, the incidence is 64 per 10,000, and as of January 24 it was 155 per 10,000, Argirov said. The incidence in the group from 0 to 4 years is 121 per 10,000, in the group from 15 to 29 years it is 63 per 10,000, and in the group from 30 to 64 years. - 30 per 10,000. The least number of patients are in the 65+ group, with only 1.53 per 10,000, said the director of the RHI. He recalled that the data is based on reports from general practitioners. There are free beds in hospitals, added Dr. Argirov.
