From „Vazrazhdane“ they raised the alarm about „huge fields planted with photovoltaics, which are being built mostly on agricultural land that is state and municipal property“.
„The Bulgarian population is worried and constantly turns to us. More than 2 years ago, we submitted a draft moratorium, with which we wanted to ban the construction of photovoltaic and wind power plants for the production of electricity on agricultural land - state and municipal property. This was stated by the deputy from „Vazrazhdane“ Daniel Petrov to journalists on the sidelines of the parliament.
„Then our project of a moratorium was rejected by the Euro-Atlantic majority. The reason for rejecting it was the pretext that our country had taken over a certain amount of green energy quotas for production for the EU. The other justification - that they are built only and exclusively on agricultural lands, which are good for nothing. But we have all seen that they are built on fertile fields, pastures, and there are also brutal cases of construction next to residential buildings and forests are cut down to build photovoltaics.
